A Crystal Beach business gets one summer a year to make its money. Your website and your Google profile should be ready before the first long weekend, not after.
The person renting a cottage for July, or the family that just bought one, is not walking Ridge Road asking around. They're on a couch in Toronto or Buffalo in May, searching "Crystal Beach restaurant," "cottage cleaning Crystal Beach," "dock repair Ridgeway." Whoever shows up with reviews and a working phone number gets the booking, weeks before the season starts.
That's the part most local businesses miss. The busy season feels like it starts in June, but the decisions get made in the spring, online, by people who have no way to know you exist unless Google tells them. A listing with no photos, last summer's hours and a phone number that rings out is not neutral. It sends the customer to the next name down.
Seasonal changes what matters. A landscaper in St. Catharines can afford a slow website month. A Crystal Beach patio, ice cream shop, rental company or marine service cannot, because the season does not wait. Every week in July that your Google profile says "closed" when you're open, or your site still shows 2024's menu, is money that does not come back in February.
So the work is front-loaded. Hours including holiday hours, photos that were taken this year, a menu or price list that's a real page and not a blurry photo, and a review ask that runs on its own while you're too busy to think about it. Done in April, it pays all summer. Done in August, it's a year late.
Down the lake in Port Colborne, which swings the same way between July and February, I took a local gym to number one on Google in the Niagara region in 60 days with exactly those pieces: a real site, a proper Google profile, and reviews arriving steadily instead of in bursts.
Crystal Beach is part of Fort Erie on paper. To Google and to the people searching, it's its own place, and so are Ridgeway and Bay Beach. If your site and your Google profile only say Fort Erie, you're missing the searches that actually name where your customers are standing. Naming the communities you serve is one of the cheapest wins in local search, and almost nobody here has done it.
If you run a business in Crystal Beach or Ridgeway and you want to know where you stand before the next season, book a call. I'll look at your site, your Google profile and your reviews first, and I'll tell you straight if there's nothing worth paying me for.
Grab a time below. Fifteen minutes, no pitch. I'll look at your site, your Google profile and your reviews before we speak, and I'll build you a free demo page so you can see it, not just hear about it.
